Paradiso has been honoured at the global World Restaurant Awards, winning the category ‘Collaboration of the Year’ for its work with Gortnanain Farm. Denis Cotter was at the ceremony in Paris on Monday 18th February to accept the award, as was his collaborator-in-chief, Ultan Walsh of Gortnanain Farm.

Even in an era of awards overkill, this is a hugely satisfying honour for Paradiso, for the chef behind it, Denis Cotter, and by extension for Ultan and Lucy of Gortnain Farm also, as it recognises and celebrates the working relationship between restaurant and farm that has been at the heart of what Paradiso is for almost two decades.

2018-05-13It’s been at least two years since I eat at this amazing restaurant which is way t0o long! And once again it exceeded my expectations. Not only is the food just sublime but all of the staff from start to finish displayed complete professionalism and warmth in just the right amount. I did notice some new faces in both front of house and kitchen. Also tried some of the new dishes. Superb. Thanks cafe paradiso for another memorable evening. I’ll be back soon. X

2017-12-23What a stunning experience. Simply stunning. Our waiter Samuel was so welcoming and knowledgeable. Food was outstanding and that’s coming from a meat lover. top class. highly recommend.
2017-11-11A friend and I just ate in cafe paradiso last night and the food was so delicious! I’m a veggie but my friend is a carnivore and half joked about getting a burger after, but she was blown away and didn’t even miss meat. My main driver for writing this review is the service. I couldn’t let it go by without compliment Sam, the absolute gentleman who we were privileged to have serve us our food. He went above and beyond in every single way! I’ve never received service like it and my friend who has been to a few, compared it to a Michelin star restaurant in terms of service and food. I have never felt so welcome and looked after in every way! I can’t compliment him enough, please pass on our compliments! No hesitation in recommending Cafe Paradiso and If you really want a treat ask for Sam!

2017-06-20Having just spent the weekend of our wedding anniversary in your fabulous room and ate in your excellent restaurant, I wanted to write this review. We have eaten in your restaurant before and 6 months later were delighted to be served by the same lovely unpretentious staff. The food was excellent of course. This is the first time we have been lucky enough to reserve the accommodation upstairs and I already want to stay again. Perfect, luxurious without trying too hard,just a pleasure. Fine attention to detail and breakfast was a treat. Already want to come back. Love Paradiso, Cork would not be the same without it.
2016-10-25Thank you for such a lovely night. My big number birthday wish was to go to where my favorite cook book came from and my fabulous friends (only 1 other vegetarian) came too with trips from 4 different airports in the UK . Perfect food and lots of smiles - nothing disappointed.
