The flooding in Cork overnight has left Paradiso knee-deep in water, and it seems there is more rain on the way tonight. We are currently slopping out and assessing the damage, so it is too early to say when we will be able to re-open, but it definitely won’t be this weekend. Anyone with a booking on or after Tuesday 24th November should contact the restaurant early next week, when we should have a better idea of how soon we can be back.

To everybody in Paradiso, please accept our sincere wishes that things will soon improve. We have been very lucky on this side of the country. We are fans of your restaurant and your signed cookbook has pride of place in my kitchen.

So sorry to miss you and to see the terrible flood damage. We had reserved a table to celebrate our 35th anniversary with you. We had been planning it for ages as my husband is a vegetarian and has admired you from afar. We’ll have to come over again (from Brighton England)
Really sorry to hear about the flood damage, particularly as I know you have recently undergone refurbishment. I hope things get back to normal (i.e. extremely high standard) soon for you. Best regards. Christopher & Odelle
What a depressing thing to have to face. We hope you get back on your collective feet soon, as we are sure you will. We look forward to seeing you again in 2010.
